Nova Scotia - "It's Frickin' Freezin' in here Mr. Bigglesworth" - Dr. Evil

It was really cold here. We were bundled up and watched the locals run around in Tee Shirts and Shorts. They said it was a nice day.

Nova Scotia - Looking up at the (Fort George) Citadel. Fort George (named after King George II of Great Britain) is the fortified summit of Citadel Hill. The hill was first fortified in 1749, the year the town of Halifax was founded. Those fortifications on the hill were successively rebuilt to defend the town from various enemies. A series of four different defensive fortifications have occupied the summit of Citadel Hill. The construction and levelling resulting in the summit of the hill being dropped by ten to twelve metres. Whilst never attacked, the Citadel was long the keystone to the defence of the strategically important Halifax Harbour and its Royal Navy Dockyard.

Nova Scotia - Entrance to the Citadel. While we were walking toward the hill, all of a sudden, KABOOM! The man in front of us ducked, I thought a terrorist explosion was happening. I looked up at the Cidadel and smoke was rising. It was the 12 O'Clock Noon firing of the cannon.
