Parintins is the home of the 3rd largest celebration in Brazil (behind Rio and Salvador’s Carnival). Bumba Meu Boi is a cultural festival pitting the island halves in song, dance, and firework competition. The event takes place over 3 days at the Bumbodomo (seats 35k) where Garantido (Red) competes against Caprichoso (Blue) in June. The Bumbodomo is in the middle of the town and is split in the middle. |
